Man arrested after police find numerous fake ID's, credit cards in hotel room

SAN ANTONIO - A man is behind bars, accused of using stolen and fake ID's to book rooms at a local hotel. An affidavit says Khayman John Reed was not only using fraudulent or Fake IDs, but he gave a fake ID when police confronted him. The report says Reed booked several rooms at a Hilton Garden off Rim Pass. The manager took a credit card from him that she couldn't verify and the signatures didn't match. Police were called, and when they searched the room, they found a number of ID's, credit and debit cards that didn't belong to him. Reed faces tampering with a governmental record charges.

McALLEN — A pair of Mexican nationals each pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges for their role in a scheme to provide fake identification documents in exchange for cash, court documents show. A month after they each pleaded not guilty to the fraud charges, Vazquez-Gomez and Renteria-Zavala agreed to reverse course and plead true to their respective charge in exchange for a reduced offense level at sentencing, court records show.
